ShipRank is a developer community. We only accept ads that are genuinely useful to builders. All submissions are reviewed and we reserve the right to reject or cancel any campaign that violates these guidelines — with a refund issued at our discretion.
What's allowed
- Developer tools, SaaS, and B2B products
- Open-source projects and libraries
- Design tools, APIs, and productivity apps
- Educational platforms and courses
- Legitimate startup products and services
Prohibited categories
- Gambling, betting, lotteries, or casinos
- Adult content, nudity, or explicit material
- Illegal products, services, or activities
- Weapons, drugs, or controlled substances
- Hate speech, discrimination, or harassment tools
- Malware, spyware, phishing, or hacking services
- Crypto scams, pump-and-dump schemes, or rug pulls
- Counterfeit goods, piracy, or IP infringement
- Multi-level marketing (MLM) or pyramid schemes
- Misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive products
Enforcement: If a live campaign is found to violate these policies, it will be cancelled immediately. A refund will be issued at admin discretion based on the days remaining. Repeated violations may result in a permanent ban.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a slot run?
Each slot is a one-time 30-day booking. It goes live within minutes of payment and automatically expires after 30 days. There is no auto-renewal.
Can I change my ad after it goes live?
No — ads are locked in once the campaign is active. Please double-check your logo, name, tagline, and URL before completing checkout. If you have an urgent issue, email support@shiprank.lol or reach out on X.
Can I cancel or get a refund?
All sales are final. There are no cancellations, partial refunds, or pauses. If your campaign is found to violate our policy, it may be removed — see the advertising policy below.
What pages does my ad appear on?
Your ad appears in the sidebar on the landing page, leaderboard, developer profiles, product listings, and every other page that shows the sidebar.
What do I need to provide?
Your product name (max 15 chars), a short tagline (max 40 chars), a logo image URL, your website URL, and a contact email for confirmation.
Which slot should I pick?
Every slot gets strong visibility — all positions are shown on high-traffic pages. Pick the one that fits your budget; there is no bad slot.
What happens after I pay?
Your ad activates automatically within minutes of payment confirmation. You'll receive a confirmation email with your campaign details.
